If you’ve got any karma that’s just sitting there, would you send it this way?

by Creative Junkie on January 16, 2009

*UPDATE* (Friday night)

My father-in-law wound up having a quadruple bypass, but he came through it with flying colors.

What does that mean, anyway? Colors? Flying?

Nevermind.

He’s doing well and we’re all grateful.

Thank you so much everyone, for all of your kind words!

Karma rocks.

.

.

.

My father-in-law is scheduled for open heart surgery today.

If you have a spare moment, would you think a good thought for him?

Because we’d like to keep him around for awhile.

He provides a nice, big lap for all the new grandbabies arriving left and right lately.

And big, warm hugs for all the grandchildren that have been around for awhile.

And snacks for the Buffalo Bills tailgate parties that he and Nate and his sons-in-law attend every year.

And fodder for his sister’s stories.

And really lame Dad jokes that Nate is still perfecting to this day.

And most of all, he makes my mother-in-law pretty happy.

And really, who else is going to wear obnoxious Hawaiian shirts that are so loud, they come with earplugs?

So if you’ve got some karma just hanging about gathering dust, feel free to send it our way.

On behalf of Nate and myself, as well as my in-law family and Hawaiian shirts everywhere screaming for a home,

Thank you.

Certainly keeping him in prayer. My dad had a quadruple bypass in September and he is doing really really well! I hope your FIL does just as well.
