Is it a daylight savings thing? Or am I just a moron?) and this is what it spewed forth at me:

Oh my goodness! Are you in my head?? Your house sounds exactly like my house and your head sounds just like my head! I am at the grocery store almost every day. Is there something wrong with that?? Anyway, my solution last night was chicken tortilla soup. Super easy and everyone ate it! Even the youngest, except I suspect his was more cheese than soup. Cook the heck out of the chicken until it is falling apart. Shred the chicken. Add more water, a can or two of enchilada sauce, some taco seasoning and any other spices you might like. I thickened it with cheese and cornmeal. SO yummy! Then, I cut up some tortillas, tossed them in the oven and voila! Quick and easy. My daughter even told me now they will be asking for it all of the time. Total score!
Could you pick up some stuff for me while you are there?? We’ve got nada in this house and DH is coming home from a business trip and, as appalling as it is, he probably thinks there’s going to be food!! Silly husband : )

Congratulations to Reeni!!
So what did you end up making for dinner?? I stared at 2 chicken breasts for about 30 minutes until I finally decided to just go with the old Shake-n-Bake. So boring but the kids eat it and that’s all I need to be happy!

That’s my predicament today. It’s now Thursday. Monday and Tuesday are kids’ night at Chili’s. Wednesday is the pizza buffet at our favorite local mom and pop joint. Now it’s Thursday and I have no money saving strategies for justifying eating out. I’ll have to figure out something to cook. Thankfully my family is happy with soup and grilled cheese sandwiches if it comes down to it.
