There’s a 99% chance this blog post will suck

by Creative Junkie on September 2, 2009

That’s because I simply had no time to actually write a real post.

Unless writing about not writing counts?

If you write a blog post about not writing a blog post, is it still a blog post?

Things that make you go hmmmm.

So, I had no time to write a real post because we spent yesterday at Keuka Lake with family and didn’t get home until late.

I had every intention of writing a post before we left but instead, I found myself sucked down into a vortex of hellfire and damnation, also known as HTML and CSS.

And that’s because I am redesigning my blog. Again.

Yes, I know that I said I would never ever EVER redesign my blog again and that if I ever contemplated doing so, someone should please, for the love of God, take a moment to slap me really hard back into reality.

But two things happened.

First, no one slapped me. What’s up with that? Don’t you people care at all?

Second, I contracted some hideous bacterial virus with a voracious appetite which chewed up most of my cerebral cortex, rendering me a blithering idiot.

I’ll let you know when I get close to a launch date. So if you get an email from thecreativejunkie@one-foot-in-the-grave-nursinghome. com, you’ll know what it’s about. I won’t, because I’ll be in their dementia unit eating socks and wearing spaghetti on my feet, but that’s neither here nor there.

And so ends my post for today.

Those of you holding out for that 1%?

You should have bought a lottery ticket instead. The odds were way better.

*lol* Yes! In fact, we’ve carefully taught our son that the signs in yellow mean RECOMMENDED, whereas you have to add at least 10 to the signs in white. Hehehe.

Looking good!

Yes I care – just can’t reach from Ireland to slap you :) (You KNOW you need to visit – what’s keeping you so long!)

Sorry. But see, until you actually change your blog appearance or mention you are doing it, I have no idea you are contemplating doing it. So the best I can manage is to slap you after the fact.

I was completely lacking in ideas this morning as well.

Visiting from SITS! Funny idea for a post – writing about not writing – may have to steal it!

Sometimes I like reading about nothing. Are you re-doing your blog to give yourself something to do or are there changes that you have been dying to make?

I guarantee you lunch with yours truly would give you material for a post or three… ;) But you’d better hurry or you’ll miss the Fantabulous Tan as it is already beginning to peel back to the Usual Doughboy White to match my Usual Doughboy Physique. (Yes, I cite Mr. Pillsbury, yet still I ask about lunch. I’m crazy like that.)

Besides, if we *do* have lunch, I can more easily slap you, what with the proximity across a table and all.

Just sayin’ …

(And no, I’m not just desperate for a fun, enjoyable few hours spent with lovely company and delicious food I didn’t make myself. I’m not just desperate for an escape from the “Moooooooom, I’m BOOOOOOOORED” chant that has finally sapped my last reserves of summertime strength. I’m *certainly* not desperate to escape the mountains of laundry that came home from vacation or the jungle of a yard that grew up while we were gone. I mean, mountains, jungles, chanting – it’s like an exotic paradise right here in my own home! ;) )

Can’t wait to see the redesign…

So relieved to know I’m not the only one with days like this – though you write about yours far better than I write about mine :)

Inquiring minds need to know and keep up with these things! E-mail me!! TELL ME!! sigh..lol! can you tell I’m dying for info?? I’m slipping further and further outta the loop!

Okay, how do you do it?? Even when you write a post about absolutely nothing, it’s still hysterical. Why haven’t you done stand-up comedy yet???

LOL – I had to stop by and read this! BTW, how do you like Thesis? I love it and am going to be trying Headway next…but not on my site because, like you, I just finished my third re-design in 12 months and I swear I’m sticking with my newest one for awhile!
